So...

potty training...

What a joy! About a month or more ago, my sweet little #1 said that she wanted to wear panties. I explained that if I allowed her to wear panties then she would in turn need to potty on the toilet. It was a deal. I put her in them and it seemed like a seamless transition. It seemed as if potty training was done and done! And here I am thinking, that was so easy...

Fast forward a month and a half to yesterday morning. I am in the shower when Ava comes running in, "Mom I need to go wee-wee!" (she struggles getting down some of her pants-bless the ghetto booty her father has bestowed upon her.) So out I hop, luckily grabbing a towel on the way, shampoo still in hair, to help her in "her" bathroom, not the toilet right next to my shower! So by the time I make it in there a small pool of slightly yellow liquid is forming next to the bathtub. So we had a little accident, no big deal...

For some reason, Ava took this as free game for the rest of the day! She would not go on the potty at all that whole day!! AHHH! I was dying!

I had to brace myself when I woke up this morning, thinking we were completely back to square one. Well, she didn't have a single accident all day! Loved it!

So, is this normal and should I expect more of these day? I NEED to be prepared...mentally!

I love the phrase the "ghetto booty her father has bestowed upon her." That made me laugh so hard. You are too funny!
Potty training is fun when they are really ready to do it. We struggled a bit with our Kesley when she was about that age! =Your little girl is so darling!

Oh boy...i am nervous for that day. Owen needs to get going but i hear boys are a bit tougher...seeing that they can access their "goods" much easier, therefore more accidents. Hang in there and give me some pointers in the meantime!

I was so happy to see you on my blog! This is so fun! I love seeing all of you kids communicating. This is great! I would love to do the Disney 1/2 marathon with the fam. I love to go on vacations where you have a purpose or a goal and a vacation both. Thanks for giving us the idea. We love you guys! We're excited to hang with your mom and dad ini a couple of weeks in San Diego. Too bad we're not going to Northern Cali for your mom and I could take a side excursion and visit our grandkids. We'll blog to you soon.
