So what do you do when you are one month post delivering this little guy?
Buy one of these of course.

And add a TV and DVR to our garage.

All with desperate desires to get ride of this

In hopes of someday wearing some of these again.

Sweet dreams

I had some photos taken of Bennett a week or so ago. Of course he decided to be wide awake during 90 percent of the shoot, but at least he was happy. At the end we finally got him good and asleep to take some sweet shots of him in this basket. I'll post more once I figure out his announcement.

Ready or Not

I know, Bennett is 4 weeks tomorrow, it is about time I do this on my own. I'm just not sure I am ready. Ty went back to work this week, but his mom was in town to help. She left today.

Bennett is getting FAT. This is no shocker with my kids, but it is just happening so fast. I'm not sure I am ready. Not only does that mean cute chubby cheeks, but we are preparing to embrace the bald old man head :)

The Simple Life

Life is pretty simple right now, yet incredibly crazy at the same time. Our calendar consists of...Nothing. So here is how we have been spending our days...

Taking cute pictures of this little guy. Who BTW at his 2 week appointment was 9 lbs 5 oz. Hello...almost 2 pounds OVER his birth weight.

Making cupcakes with Grandma. Or rather just eating the batter.

More pics...with newborn eyes and double chin :)

A whole lot of this...

Days wasted away in our jammies.

Ava has been on the waiting list for her preschool forever and finally got in. This was her first day of school. She LOVES it.

Of course there has been a ton of playin' in the yard and bike riding with the last week of 70 degree weather.
And a little more Bennett. He's in his cloth diaper, which I am really liking. I only use them during the day, because he notices being wet a lot more when he wears them. I think they are great though...surprise, surprise.
Life is good. Our boy is sweet. Schedules are non-existent. We are tired. Really tired. But, life is good.

Daddy Time

My kids have been so lucky the last few weeks to have their daddy around all the time. I think there will be some serious separation anxiety when he goes back to work next week. This week he took Ava and Christian to the SF Zoo while Bennett and I stayed home. The kids had a blast and took the zoo by storm.

The main event at the Zoo was definitely when the seagull stole Christian granola bar from his hand. Right when Christian got home he told me the whole story...

"guckie, homp" (bringing his finger to his mouth and pretending to bite it) -translation- duckie stole my granola bar and bit my finger.

"me, huh" (swinging his arm like hitting at the bird) translation- I tried to hit him

"daddy, moe" translation- daddy gave me more granola bar.

He hasn't stopped talking about it since.

Thanks for our cute hats auntie Joce and Lisa!

And of course our little Bennett who is growing like a weed...it stinks.

Sorry Grandma...

But Grandpa got to him first.

He still can't wait to meet you, too.
...
Thanks for a crazy lunch Papa Jim!

Hello.

I'm Bennett.
I'm one week old today and finally open my eyes from time to time.

I get lots of loves and kisses from my family. They think I'm pretty cute.
