Precious Litte Girl

We had this picture of Ava taken at my mom's house over Christmas. I just thought it was precious and decided to share.

By the end of the photoshoot however, she wasn't quite as "precious". But, hey I think the picture is great!

"I wuv you"

Ava had her much anticipated surgery to remove her little extra toes on Thursday. With this came a whole slew of funny stories to tell...
Now anesthesia can make anyone a little on the "loopy" side, yet alone a little girl. Before the surgery they dosed her up a little so that she would have anxiety leaving her mom and dad and throw a fit when they tried to put her the rest of the way out. So they gave her a little drugs and we sat together on the hospital bed for about 20 minutes waiting for it to set in. Slowly during that time everyone got funnier and funnier. She would laugh at nearly every nurse that walked by. But we knew for certain that she was ready to go back when she looked at the people behind the desk and said, "I wuv you."

She was so stinkin cute it actually made it a little easier to let them take her back. The doctor later told us she smiled through most of the procedure and before she was completely out she wanted to give them all a hug! What a sweetheart!
If you want to check out all her hospital photos go to our "Kearl Smugmug" link on the right side of the page.

Laundry Day!

How is it that something I, quite frankly do not enjoy doing can be so much fun for my little Ava? Although, the fact that she loves it so much and loves to "help" so much may be one of the biggest contributors to my lack of love for the task. I must admit that it is really cute EVERYTIME I put her clothes into her drawers she takes them out and insists on putting an article of clothing on every one of her hundreds of stuffed animals. Heaven forbid her monkey goes to bed without pajamas!

Chubby...not my Ava!

So I got Ava a few new pairs of jeans a couple months ago. My thought process was something like this..."Yeah, she's maybe a little chubby, but everyone tells me she should be thinning out, besides these size 24 months should technically give her a few months considering she turns 2 on March 1st..."
So today I put those cute little jeans up over her chunky thighs and made her lay down so I could actually button them (which was done under the belly mind you).
I don't know, it just might not be her time for "thinning out" right now, what do you think?

Christmas as a child!

After much peer pressure, I have caved into temptation and officially created my own little blog. So, in case anyone really cares, here is what Lindsey's life consists of. Hopefully, if nothing else, you can get a good laugh at my expense, I don't mind! So here it is...

Christmas...just as I remember...in footie jamies!!!
Yes, you bet those are adult sized footie jamies! The California Kearls had a big surprise for the rest of the Kearls when on Christmas Eve everyone opened a pair of their own! It made for some real good laughs and even better pictures. To be quite honest, I think they are the best. I could sleep in them every night, and often do!
