I was just about to purchase myself a pair of these.
Now, I'm thinking I might purchase these instead.
Why the change of heart you might ask? Just prepping for a slight change.
Instead of frequent trips to this "gate" into the US,
we just might make more frequent trips to this "gate" into the US.
Oh, yes folks. We are heading 3,000 miles across the country. Ty was offered a position at KPMG's National Office in New Jersey, essentially right across the Hudson from NYC (here is a visual for you). We couldn't help but accept the opportunity for adventure for the next 2-3 years.
We are sad. We really love our life here in California, which made the decision really hard for us. But, we are also really looking forward to what the future holds. I am SO NOT excited for the weather, but I figure I'll manage (with a few tropical vacations in between).

My first thought was, "I'm so excited for all they'll get to do and see in the East." My second thought was, "Aw, just when we're finally on the same coast!!!" Congrats on your plans.
That's so exciting!!!! We will have to get together! Where are you guys going to live and when are you moving?
So a Laguardia or Long Island overnight? Which should I bid?
Yay! So excited it's official. Super sad you'll be on the opposite coast. Can't wait to hear about your new adventures. xoxo
Linds! I have been thinking about you a lot lately! Congrats on the change. I was thinking you were going to tell us that you are pregnant because I have had two dreams that I was your nurse in Labor and Delivery these past couple of weeks! Congrats to Ty as well. That's awesome. I'm sad we missed each other over the Holidays so we need to catch up soon. This change means that my mom, your mom and I are coming to visit since I've only been to New York City once!!! Love you lots!
WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! No. Not cool. I'm so bummed. :(
Congrats to Ty. That is awesome!! I seriously love New York! The food....oh the food. I have dreams about it. mmmmm. Such a cool atmosphere and experience for a few years. I'm jealous.
I am really sad that you're leaving, but really excited for your adventures in New Jersey!!! Call if you need any info or names of people to talk to as you house hunt. We grew up there and still have tons of friends in a lot of areas there. You will love it!! Esp living close to NYC!
I am trying to see some good in this, but I'm just selfish and I can't! It's terrible news for me, really. BOO!
On a lighter note, I thought about you guys at 8 when the Bachelor was starting and I was without. Luckily I was able to read some spoilers online and now I'm primed and ready to go for Hulu tomorrow.
You now have no excuse not to come to Prague. Cheaper tickets and a short 8 hour flight. Ty splurge and bring the kids!
Bittersweet, I tell ya.
Plan on meeting us in NYC for some good food!
that's awesome. you guys have so many adventures. i love it.
Yea so fun. Cold weather is no biggie--layer up!
I bet you'll love it.
congratulations!!!! you're going to love living out there. it's totally different but you'll have a blast. we were in DC for 2 years and i wouldn't give it up for anything. so exciting!
wow lindsey! That is awesome. We are making changes ourselves too, though not quite so far. We are moving to Northern San Diego County. Who would have thought that little old me who grew up in Spanish Fork, UT would branch out to a few different places in the west? We really enjoy life here, but we are excited to experience new adventures in our new place. Em, Mom and I have been talking about a trip out that way together, now we have a greater reason to make it happen. Best wishes with the move.
Hey Lindsey- I am an old friend of your sister Amber, and I came across your blog (through Timpview peeps), and I noticed you are moving to NYC- I live in Jersey City- my husband works for Morgan Stanley, and I just quit my job at the World Economic Forum to focus on law school. We live in Liberty Harbor near Exchange Place and love it. If you have any questions about the area, feel free to reach out!

way cool linds.... that will definetly be an adventure. Good luck with everything
so exciting for you. I never seem to be able to keep tabs on where you are (much like ourselves). We will just miss you as we're going to Berkeley in the fall for 2 years for school. The East coast is awesome- so many fun weekend trips and cities to take advantage of...and who doesn't love NYC? Jersey may be interesting, but I'm sure you'll find humor in it, and you'll find you nitch!
