It has become very apparent to Tyler and I in the last few months that we officially have a little PERSON living with us! Throughout most of the first 2 years of a child's life they are completely dependant upon someone else. Then it seems as if overnight they are walking, talking human beings that "take care" of themselves...let me explain.
The other day I thought I would try to be a good mom and make some homemade bread (not that that has anything to do with being a good mom). So that morning I had a pretty loaf of bread sitting on my counter to marvel at. Then I had to get some laundry done so I head to the back rooms while Ava is watching Elmo...or so I think. Ava, being the little PERSON that she is decided that she needed a snack and so she went into the kitchen, found that loaf of bread and thought, "this looks good, I'll have that!" And thus I find my little girl eating a LOAF of bread on some blankets watching Elmo. She doesn't need my help, she can fend for herself!

A Trip to the ZOO
A friend and I took our girls, Natalie and Ava to the SF Zoo the other day. The girls were so cute and had SO much fun. They couldn't stop staring at the lions. Ava kept saying, "Lions, ROAR" with her hands up like claws.
While we were there we saw a monkey eating and we told the girls it was eating lunch. Ava can not stop telling me that the "monkey eat lunch." So last night after she had gone to bed I snuck into her room to get Christian's pajamas and she looks over at me and says (very loud) "Monkey eat lunch mommy!" She was so excited about it. She must have been having a great dream about it. It was pretty funny.
